<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric drive vehicle including a standby power supply device that enables the vehicle to travel, as an emergency measure in case that a main power supply device such as a nickel hydride battery or a lithium ion battery can not be used. <P>SOLUTION: The electric drive vehicle includes: a first power supply comprising a secondary battery that operates at room temperature as a main power supply for driving the vehicle; and a second power supply that operates only at temperature over the room temperature, as a standby power supply for driving the vehicle. The first power supply is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of a lead storage battery, a nickel hydride battery and a lithium ion battery, while the second power supply is preferably a molten salt battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
