<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection element which can deal with a larger current than a conventional version. <P>SOLUTION: A protection element 10 comprises a cathode 22, an anode 24, a heat evolution chip 38, a bonding material 40 and a compression coil spring 34. The cathode 22 and the anode 24 are disposed facing with each other. The heat evolution chip 38 covers over the cathode 22 and the anode 24. The heat evolution chip 38 generates heat when current flows. The bonding material 40 connects the heat evolution chip 38 to the cathode 22 and the anode 24 respectively. Separation force is generated for the heat evolution chip 38 according to the compression coil spring 34. Bonding strength of the bonding material 40 becomes lower than a prescribed strength at a prescribed temperature. The protection element 10 further comprises a block permanent magnet 50. The block permanent magnet 50 generates magnetic force in advance in a space surrounding the compression coil spring 34 between the cathode 22 and the anode 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
