<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin for toners having excellent low-temperature fixability, storage stability and durability, and an electrophotographic toner containing the binder resin. <P>SOLUTION: The binder resin for toners includes amorphous polyester obtained by condensation-polymerizing at least an alcohol component with a carboxylic acid component. At least any one of the alcohol component and the carboxylic acid component is formed by including raw material monomer having a furan ring, and the alcohol component includes glycerine.
