<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and efficiently perform the presence/absence determination of dust on a light path for document reading, and countermeasure processing against the dust. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 reads a white guide plate 43 before or after a scanning optical mechanism 30 reads a document G conveyed on a sheet-through contact glass 22, and a dust detector 51 detects whether at least dust which becomes a streak image in image data of a color image or a monochromatic image generated by a scanner correction unit 7 exists on the light path of reading light emitted by the scanning optical mechanism 30. On the basis of the detection result and the history of the output of the color image and the output of the monochromatic image stored in a hard disk 4 or the like, the image forming device determines the countermeasure processing against the dust. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
