<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive gap from occurring between a door opening of a vehicle body sidewall and a door by effectively preventing the door from moving excessively outward of a vehicle body when some object in a cabin of a vehicle body collides with a slide door in a side collision. <P>SOLUTION: A center rail 14 includes an inner plate 22 that extends along an outer face of a sidewall 9 in transverse sectional view; upper and lower plates 23, 24 that extend outward of a vehicle body 2 from upper and lower edges of the inner plate 22; and an outer plate 25 that extends to face the inner plate 22 from an extension edge of either one of the upper and lower plates 23, 24. The slide door device for vehicle further includes a reinforcing substrate 44 that extends in the vertical direction and joins front ends of the upper and lower plates 23, 24 to each other; a first reinforcing plate 45 that extends backward from the reinforcing substrate 44 to run along the outer surface of one plate; a second reinforcing plate 46 that extends from the first reinforcing plate 45 to run along the outer surface of the outer plate 25; and a third reinforcing plate 47 that extends from the second reinforcing plate 46 and is joined to the reinforcing substrate 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
