<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the energy efficiency of a device as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: A cryogenic air separator is configured so that heat exchange is performed between liquid oxygen extracted from a rectifying column 7 and raw material air under compression by a raw material air compressor 3. Thereby, it is possible to heat the liquid oxygen for evaporation by the raw material air which is raised in temperature by the compression.
