<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the energy efficiency of a device as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: A cryogenic air separator is configured so that heat exchange is performed between liquid oxygen extracted from a rectifying column 7 and raw material air under compression by a raw material air compressor 3. Thereby, it is possible to heat the liquid oxygen for evaporation by the raw material air which is raised in temperature by the compression. For example, as compared with a method in which the liquid oxygen is heated by steam or an electric heater, the energy efficiency of the whole device is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
