<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce user's feeling of discomfort caused by a time lag between issuing a command for a prescribed operation and the start of the prescribed operation without reducing the detecting accuracy of the existence of discharge failure by a nozzle check process. <P>SOLUTION: A nozzle check execution unit 32 of an inkjet printer 1 monitors whether a cut button 30 is pressed while the nozzle check process is in progress, interrupts the nozzle check process if the button is pressed, and after the cutting process ends, resumes the nozzle check process and the detection concerned to the nozzle for which the detection of the existence of discharge failure is not performed is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
