<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method capable of effectively removing foreign matters or the like adhered on the surface of a photoreceptor in an image forming apparatus capable of replacing a drum unit from an opening formed on an upper portion of an apparatus body. <P>SOLUTION: A method for cleaning an image forming apparatus which comprises: an apparatus body 10 having an opening 10A opened upward and a belt unit 70; a top cover 11; and a drum unit 50A which has a photoreceptor drum 51 and is attachable to or detachable from the apparatus body through the opening 10A, the method comprising: a first step of opening the top cover 11; a second step of taking out the drum unit 50A from the apparatus body 10; a third step of disposing a cleaning sheet 100 along the upper surface of the belt unit 70 and fixing the apparatus body 10; a fourth step of mounting the drum unit 50A on the apparatus body 10; a fifth step of closing the top cover 11; and a sixth step of rotating the photoreceptor drum 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
