<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator which reduces the water content of recovered sludge to make the sludge reduced in volume and small in weight; and to provide a method for controlling a centrifugal separator. <P>SOLUTION: The centrifugal separator 1 mainly includes a bowl-like rotary body 3, a rotary mechanism part 12 having a main motor 11 which generates centrifugal force in the inner space 10 of the rotary body 3, a suspension-charging part 13 which charges suspension L, and a scraper displacement mechanism part 16 having a scraper 5 which removes accumulated sludge 15. The scraper displacement mechanism part 16 has an angle-adjusting part 31 which adjusts the scraper angle of the scraper 5 to the inner wall face 4 of the rotary body 3. Furthermore, the controlling method 2 includes: a dehydration process in which water contained in the sludge 15 is preliminarily removed when the sludge 15 is recovered; and a staying water removing process in which staying water staying in the inner space 10 of the rotary body 3 is removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
