<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and early detect whether a mold and a movable platen are interfered with each other by an inexpensive and simple method. <P>SOLUTION: A mold setting method in which the mold 30 fed to a mold feed area is conveyed and set between a fixed platen 11 and the movable platen 12 in a molding machine 10 includes: a step of placing the mold 30 in the mold feed area by positioning so as to arrange an attaching surface 31c to a fixed platen 11 on the same plane as a mold attaching surface 11a of the fixed platen 11; a step of emitting detection light toward the mold feed area by a detection means 40 provided to the movable platen 12 and detecting presence/no presence of reflected light of the detection light by the mold 30 placed in the mold feed area; and a step of determining whether the mold 30 fed to the mold feed area is to be conveyed or not between the fixed platen 11 and the movable platen 12 on the basis of the detected result of the detection means 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
