<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a spherical silicon carbide particle which is an α-type crystal and has a particle size of 5-60 μm and has a minute structure in its interior, and also to provide a sintered body or an organic resin composite using this spherical silicon carbide as a raw material. <P>SOLUTION: In order to produce the spherical α-type silicon carbide having the average particle size of 5-60 μm, the volume of inner pores having ≤1 μm pore diameter of ≤0.02 cc/g, the specific surface of ≤1 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g and the average (minor axis/major axis) aspect ratio of ≥0.65, the method for producing the silicon carbide includes at least (1) a step of spraying and drying slurry of the raw material α-type silicon carbide crystal having an average particle size of ≤1 μm to obtain porous spherical particles, and (2) a step of sintering the thus obtained porous spherical particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
