<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated newsprint paper for offset printing, which has such superior printing workability as not to cause a printing trouble such as setoff defects, a stain due to rubbing and piling which occur at the time of offset printing using a penetration drying ink, and also has superior color printability. <P>SOLUTION: In the coated newsprint paper for offset printing, which has a coating liquid that contains needle-like and/or columnar light calcium carbonate, and is formed on at least one face of a base paper, slaked lime particles of which a cumulative volume of particles having a particle diameter of 1.0 μm or less is 20% or less are used as a raw material of the light calcium carbonate, and a particle diameter (D<SB POS="POST">50</SB>) of 50 vol.% in a particle size distribution curve of the light calcium carbonate is 0.2-0.7 μm, which is obtained by a laser diffraction method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
