FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanised hidden-arc welding by consumable electrodes in atmosphere of protective gases with continuous feed of welding wire. Proposed method comprises welding at continuous feed of welding wire with application of elastic lengthwise vibrations of ultrasound frequency. Lengthwise vibrations are transmitted to electrode metal drop. Said drop is located at welding wire end. Detachment of electrode metal droplet is caused by resonance.EFFECT: increased drop transfer rate, metal mechanical properties of weld seam, decreased electrode metal sputtering.1 dwg
