PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory system capable of improving operation speed and reducing power consumption, and an operation method thereof.

SOLUTION: A memory system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a nonvolatile memory device; and a memory controller that is configured so as to control the nonvolatile memory device. The memory controller provides error flag information including error position information of data, which is read from the nonvolatile memory device, for the nonvolatile memory device.
