<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which excels in safety and in reliability against internal shorting and dendrite derived shorting, and also can restrain a reduction in characteristics when stored at high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery of the present invention comprises a cathode, an anode, a separator, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. At least one selected from the cathode and the anode contains a material which contains a polyamine group expressed by the general formula (1) below. In at least one selected from the cathode and the anode, the adsorbed amount of transition metal ions contained in a carbonic acid ester solvent is 0.03 μmol/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or more.
