<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device that can expand an EV travelling area. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device includes a direct injection engine, a rotating electrical machine and a clutch which disconnects the engine and the rotating electrical machine, wherein, when an operation point of the rotating electrical machine falls into a prescribed region, such prescribed travelling as to stop the engine, open the clutch and travel by using the rotating electrical machine as a power source is permitted. A first prescribed region R1 as a prescribed region when such prescribed starting as to rotate the engine with an output of the engine and start the engine is permitted is broader than a second prescribed region R2 as a prescribed region when the prescribed starting is not permitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
