<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication system capable of effectively utilizing a network resource, by providing a redundant route for a ring network and another network without significantly altering relay processing of a L2 switch. <P>SOLUTION: A communication system in which two or more ERP switches configuring an ERP ring network connect to another network has the ERP switch comprising: a transfer processing part 23 for determining whether or not transfer of a frame received from the other network to the ERP ring network and the reverse transfer are performed, on the basis of a criterion; and a link monitoring part 25 for notifying another ERP switch of a link failure with the other network, and changing the criterion so as to transfer a frame being a transfer target determined in advance by a transmission source when a link failure notification has been received from another ERP switch, where the criterion is determined so that the frame is transferred by one ERP switch of ERP switches connected to the same other network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
