<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized semiconductor power-conversion device that allows downsizing a filter circuit installed in an inverter circuit and has excellent energy efficiency by reduction of a common-mode current. <P>SOLUTION: A bidirectional step-down chopper circuit 1, which is constituted by a serial connection of two switching elements S<SB POS="POST">C1</SB>and S<SB POS="POST">C2</SB>operating complementary, is connected to a DC power supply 11.
