<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide alumina cement which has an excellent initial strength development property at least comparable to that of the conventional alumina cement, substantially suppresses conversion, and can retain a high strength development property over a medium or long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The alumina cement contains powder of clinker which contains ≥95 mass%, in total, of CaO, Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>as chemical components, while having a molar ratio between CaO and Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>: (CaO/Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>) of 1.2-1.8 and an SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>content of 5-15 mass%, and has a vitrification ratio of ≥5%, preferably ≥50%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
