<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a fuel consumption amount of a vehicle having a motor for travelling and an engine for power generation. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle having an MG2 as the motor for travelling and the engine 10 for power generation, a cabin is heated by heat generated by a heater core 18 and a PTC heater 33 as an electric heater. An ECU 60 calculates a requirement of heating in heating the cabin, and based on the calculated requirement, the cabin is heated by heat generation of the electric heater. When the heat is generated by the electric heater, it is determined whether the requirement is satisfied or not by the heat generation. When it is determined that the requirement is satisfied, the engine 10 is not operated in order to heat the heater core 18. When it is determined that the requirement is not satisfied even if the electric heater generates heat, the engine 10 is operated to heat the heater core 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
