<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus that can provide an impressive display by three dimensionally presenting an engraved part including, for example, letters and pictures formed on a transparent plate. <P>SOLUTION: A display apparatus includes a transparent plate 1 having an engraved part 4 formed on its back face, a light source 2 that illuminates the transparent plate from its end face 1c, and a reflection plate 3 provided on the back face of the transparent plate.
