<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve gradation in a dark part of an image captured at sensitivity equal to or lower than reference sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: In setting to sensitivity lower than reference sensitivity, in order that a combination of an input/output characteristic of a linear conversion unit (e.g., gain circuit) and an input/output characteristic of a nonlinear conversion unit (e.g., gamma circuit) enables an output corresponding to changed imaging sensitivity to be obtained from the nonlinear conversion unit, the input/output characteristic of the nonlinear conversion unit is changed from an input/output characteristic corresponding to the reference sensitivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
