摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel material hoisting implement and a hoisting method capable of improving cargo handling efficiency by reducing a fine flaw generated in a contact surface between a steel material of an object to be hoisted and a hooker to avoid the trouble of failing in detaching the hooker from the steel material caused by being caught in the flaw or the over-rotation of the hooker. <P>SOLUTION: In the steel material hoisting implement in which a plurality of pairs of hoisting wires 2 are coupled to a hoisting beam to be engaged with a hoisting hook of a crane, and the hooker 3 hoisting the steel material is coupled to a lower end of the hoisting wire, a hard member 5 which is at least 400 in Vicker's hardness (HV) is detachably attached to the contact surface of a tip of the hooker with the steel material, or it has an over-rotation preventing projection in an upper part of the hooker.
