The device has a rail (7) slidably secured to a body of a vehicle. A carriage (11) is rolled on a bearing of the rail and mounted on a sliding door (3) at a side edge. A support (17) is placed in the rail, where an end of the support is fixed at the carriage. Another end of the support is fixed at the door at another side edge that is opposite to the former side edge, which is mounted on the carriage, where the support is made of a flexible and non-ductile material. The support provides a spacing of the door with respect to the body.
