The invention relates to equipment for covering a box, including a plate which supports a blank and a box; a die which is able to vertically move and operatably adapt in the box for moving the box from a folding position to a turnover position; a plurality of fixed contact members which are positioned at the folding position for mutually acting with the box in the process of moving downward of the box so as to allow sections of the blank to be folded from a horizontal position to a vertical position, wherein each each section is formed by wings which are vertically projecting above a corresponding face contacted with the section; a plurality of movable folding members which block the corresponding wings to make the wings fold from the vertical position to the horizontal position on which the wings are parallel to the bottom wall of the box; and a device for holding the box inside the turnover position, wherein the device cooperates with a drive unit connected to the die to completely extract out the box; and the die is placed at a rising position where the die is higher than a free edge of the unfolded wing. The invention also relates to a method of covering the box. |
