The system has a temperature sensor (71) placed on a hot water supply pipe (5). A control unit (7) is adapted to connect the hot water supply pipe with a cold water supply pipe (4) of a hot-water tank, and to disconnect the hot water supply pipe from a mixing valve tap (1) until temperature measured by the sensor is less than or equal to control temperature. The control unit is adapted to drive back hot water remaining in the hot water supply pipe toward the hot-water tank during closing of the mixing valve tap. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a water distribution circuit.
