The device has a single case including sensors for sensing vital parameters of a person, and a presence detection sensor (PS), where sensor measurements are transmitted to a centralized data-processing server having an evaluation device. The evaluation device analyzes the measurements and returns actions to be undertaken such as messages of visual and/or sound alarms, to a fixed or mobile phone, for intervention of safety and/or emergency services according to the nature, the level of perceived danger, and presence or absence of the person in a zone covered by the electronic device. An independent claim is also included for a method for evaluating on a data processing server for monitoring vital parameters of persons.
