Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell which charges at high voltages, which can obtain high capacities and which can withstand the repeated use demanded in real applications as a vehicle-mounted power source for driving a motor. This non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell comprises a positive electrode having Li(LixMnyMe'z)OpFq (Me' is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Co, Ni, Cr, Fe, Al, Ti, Zr and Mg. Further, 0.09 < x < 0.3, y > 0, z > 0, 1.9 < p < 2.1, 0 @ q @ 0.1, 0.4 @ y / (y+z) @ 0.8, x+y+z = 1, and 1.2 < (1+x) / (y+z)) as the positive electrode active substance, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte containing a lithium salt, wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte contains one or more specific phosphoric acid ester compounds as an essential component. |
