<p>Some embodiments relate to a method of treatment of a liquid stream of extracted geothermal fluids, comprising dosing the liquid stream with a chemical buffer solution to reduce the pH of the liquid stream to, or close to, a target acidic pH level. Some embodiments relate to a system for treatment of a liquid stream of extracted geothermal fluids, comprising: a fluid conduit carrying a liquid stream of the extracted geothermal fluids; at least one supply line arranged to dose the liquid stream with a chemical buffer solution to reduce the pH of the liquid stream to a level at or close to a target acidic pH level; and at least one buffer dosing pump to control the supply of chemical buffer solution to the fluid conduit.</p> |
