<p>The method involves providing a fluorescent tube (2) and a connecting piece that is provided with outer and inner surfaces (7, 8). The tube is connected with the connecting piece, where the tube is provided with a discharge space that is filled with filling gas i.e. noble gas. Electrodes (5) are arranged within the space. The connecting piece is provided by applying and burning a circular rotating gold coating (9) on the connecting piece, and amalgam depot i.e. indium amalgam, is provided in the tube that is connected with the gold-coated connecting piece and applied on the gold coating. An independent claim is also included for a mercury vapor discharge lamp.</p> |
