<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercise promotion robot for motivating a user to do exercise to make a habit of exercise. <P>SOLUTION: The exercise promotion robot motivates the user to do exercise. The robot includes: a body 1 having a head portion 11, arm portions 12, and leg portions 13; a drive part 2 for driving the head portion 11, the arm portions 12, and the leg portions 13; a speaker 15 arranged in the body 1; and a control part 6 for controlling the drive part 2 and the speaker 15.
