摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma ignition device including a fuel supply system. <P>SOLUTION: An ignition device 300 includes: a housing having a first part and a second part; a first electrically conductive surface; and a second electrically conductive surface spaced from the first electrically conductive surface to form a discharge gap 306. A fuel supply provides fuel or air/fuel mixture to the discharge gap 306. A controller provides an electrical pulse between the first conductive surface and second conductive surface that dissociates fuel or air/fuel mixture passing through the discharge gap. A method includes steps of: locating the ignition device so that the discharge gap is in direct communication with a combustion region; and dissociating at least one of fuel, air/fuel mixture or combustible fuel mixture with the discharge gap. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
