<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch pipe device which simplifies an installation process thereof, increases strength against external force such as earthquake, prevents a fluid pipe passage from being detached from the branch pipe device and maintains sealing performance. <P>SOLUTION: A branch pipe device 3 comprises: a pipe body 7 which is connected to an insertion port pipe 1, a fluid pipe of a fluid pipe network to be buried in the ground, as well as to a socket pipe 2, another fluid pipe of the fluid pipe network, and has, inside the pipe body 7, a fluid passage 4 communicated with both the insertion port pipe 1 and the socket pipe 2 as well as a branch passage 5 communicated with the fluid passage 4; and a valve body 6 which is arranged inside the pipe body 7 as well as switches between opening and closing of the fluid passage 4 as well as the branch passage 5.
