PURPOSE: A wireless communication system and a presence information management method thereof are provided to manage presence information for controlling traffic related to presence. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(410) receives piggyback support information notifying the transmission of PNA(Presence network Agent) support information, presence information, and a subscribing message from a presence server. The PNA support information is related to a PNA support state instead of presence information in a network agent. A control unit(420) determines the publication state of the presence information through the PNA support information. The control unit transmits a subscription message and presence information through the piggybacking support information.
