<p>A semiconductor transformer structure and a chip having the semiconductor transformer structure are provided. The semiconductor transformer structure includes one or more semiconductor electro-optical conversion structures and one or more semiconductor photo-electric conversion structures. The semiconductor electro-optical conversion structures include electro-optical conversion layers by which input electric energy is converted to optical energy. The semiconductor photo-electric conversion structures include photo-electric conversion layers by which optical energy is converted to output electric energy. The absorption spectrum of the photo-electric conversion layers is matched with the emission spectrum of the electro-optical conversion layers. The semiconductor electro-optical conversion structures and the semiconductor photo-electric conversion structures are isolated with reverse biased PN junction structures. The advantages of the structure are that the material is easy to achieve, low cost, and technical maturity.</p> |
