<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a SAW device simultaneously exhibiting a strong electromechanical coupling, low spurious responses, and a desired frequency-temperature characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: A SAW device 10 comprises: a substrate 12 containing lithium niobate and configured to propagate an elastic wave; first and second resonators 14 and 16 formed by first and second electrode patterns 18 and 20 on a surface 22 of the substrate 12, respectively; and a dielectric protective film 24 having a positive TCF, formed on the resonators 14 and 16. The first and second electrode patterns 18 and 20 have electrode widths a1 and a2, respectively, and are arranged at different electrode cycles p1 and p2, respectively. The different electrode cycles p1 and p2 are associated with ratios of the electrode widths a1 and a2 to the electrode cycles p1 and p2, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
