PURPOSE: A power control system of construction machinery and a method thereof are provided to block power in a various method if a power source lower than the power required to an electric device is input and to prevent malfunction of various kinds of an electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A power control system of construction machinery comprises a plurality of electric devices(160), a main switch(140), a starting switch(150), and a control unit(170). The control unit controls the main switch and the starting switch according to driving or stopping of an engine and supplies or blocks a power source to the electric device. The electric device includes one or more subordinated power sources and an input power supply unit. The subordinated power source receives the power supply and supplies by converting the power source to correspond to predetermined function.
