<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of supplying electrical power to a power distribution system for an aircraft and an aircraft system. <P>SOLUTION: A method comprises providing electrical power to an aircraft comprising selectively sourcing power from a plurality of power sources. The power sources includes one or more generators (2, 3, 4, 5) driven by an engine, and at least one other power source selected from the group comprising one or more electrical storage means (23, 26), one or more fuel cells (24, 25) and one or more thermo-electric power sources (22, 27).
