<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning device which can reliably and always stably fulfill a function of purifying air itself, and to provide an operation control method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaning device includes, within a case body 1A, an electrolysis unit 2 which has an electrode for electrolyzing tap water into electrolyzed water, a tray unit 3 which stores the electrolyzed water, a filter unit 4 which holds the electrolyzed water to cause air-liquid contact, a blast fan unit which sends air that has passed through filters 4A, 4B, 4C of the filter unit 4 to the outside of the case body 1A, a pipeline unit 5 which is provided with the electrolysis unit 2 in the middle thereof and disposed so as to take in the electrolyzed water from the tray unit 3 and pour the electrolyzed water onto the filters 4A, 4B, 4C, a pump 8 which takes the electrolyzed water stored in the tray unit 3 into the base end of the pipeline, a residual chlorine concentration sensor 6 which is installed in the pipeline through which the electrolyzed water flows, and outputs a signal corresponding to the concentration of residual chlorine in the electrolyzed water, and a control unit 7 which holds the concentration substantially constant when detecting a reduction in the residual chlorine concentration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
