<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for synthesizing nanopowder. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a reaction chamber having a gaseous atmosphere and a pair of ablative electrodes with at least one of which being a precursor material for producing nanopowder; a high-power, pulsed power supply electrically connected to the pair of ablative electrodes; and an autofuser device connected to the pair of ablative electrodes, wherein the autofuser device includes an auto fusing power supply, a trigger circuit, and a triggered spark gap device having a first primary electrode electrically connected to one of the ablative electrodes, a second primary electrode electrically connected to the autofusing power supply, and a secondary electrode electrically connected to the trigger circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
