<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engaging tool for fishing having a ring-shaped part, enabling the engaging tool for the fishing to be engaged without using both hands when an engaging member such as a snap ring is engaged with the engaging tool, such that the engaging tool for the fishing in the state of being supported by one hand is engaged with the engaging member held by the other hand, facilitating the identification of the presence thereof by being visually checked from the upper side in a hung state, and as a result, facilitating the engagement of the engaging member. <P>SOLUTION: The engaging tool 5 for the fishing includes an engaging tool body 10 and a hanging tool 30. The engaging tool body 10 has a plate-shaped part 12 and a protrusion part 20. The plate-shaped part 12 has a plate-shaped part body 14, and a tip part 16 having a width in the right and left directions formed shorter than the width of the plate-shaped part body 14 in the right and left direction, and connectedly installed in the lower terminal of the plate-shaped part body 14 at a distance from the right and left edge parts of the plate-shaped part body 14.
