HARD DISK ENCRYPTION DEVICE AND HARD DISK ENCRYPTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk encryption device and a hard disk encryption method capable of preventing an illegal flow of data by determining whether to permit access to various hard disks connected to a host terminal between the host terminal and hard disks, and performing encryption/decryption.

SOLUTION: A hard disk encryption device includes: a program management unit which causes an access-permitted program or process to be executed on the basis of a result of determination as to whether the program or process to be executed in a host terminal is permitted to gain access; an Internet Protocol (IP) management unit which causes data to be transmitted to an access-permitted destination IP address on the basis of a result of determination as to whether the destination IP address to which the host terminal attempts to transmit the data is permitted to be accessed; and an encryption processing unit which applies the algorithm selected by a user to all the data exchanged between the host terminal and a hard disk and performs encryption/decryption.
