<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel system for reliably removing various types of noises. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel system 1p includes a subtraction unit 41a for receiving an output signal for each sense line 33, and for calculating a difference between capacitances in a sense line direction as a difference in the signals of mutually adjacent sense lines 33.
