Disclosed are a personal blood glucose meter and an abnormal measurement detection method using same. The personal blood glucose meter comprises: a sensor strip to which collected blood is supplied, and which is provided with a reagent; an electrode unit which receives a supply of reagent and blood obtained by mixing the blood and the reagent from the sensor strip, and which is provided with a plurality of electrodes for generating electrical current resulting from a potential difference; a MCU for measuring the value of the electrical current produced from the electrode unit, and deciding whether the blood-glucose value of the blood is normal; a potential-difference supply unit for supplying the potential difference to the electrode unit; and a display unit for displaying the resultant value output from the MCU.
