A portable terminal (10) is provided with: a housing (11) having an opening (12); a circuit board (16) and a display section (17), which are housed in the housing (11); a step surface (18), which is provided further toward the opening (12) side than the display section (17); a groove section (19), which is provided on the step surface (18); a display panel (21), which is supported by the step surface (18), and closes the opening (12); and an adhesive (23), which is provided between the step surface (18) and the display panel (21). The step surface (18) is formed adjacent to an inner surface (13B) of a wall section (13) to face the outside through the opening (12) of the housing (11).
