LIVE ATTENUATED STRAIN OF ACTINOBACILLUS PLEUROPNEUMONIAE

The present invention relates to a living attenuated strain of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae which includes a modification in at least one of the segments of the apx IIA gene which code for the transmembrane domains of the Apx II exotoxin and a modification in at least one of the segments of the apx IIIA gene which code for the transmembrane domains of the Apx III exotoxin. Said strain is immunogenic, non-haemolytic and non-cytolytic. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining same, to a vaccine against porcine pleuropneumonia containing same, and to a vaccine kit.
