<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a virtual image emerging ornamental structure configured to adjust gray levels of a virtual image to be revealed in an image display area of a virtual image emerging ornamental structure, and the virtual image emerging ornamental structure. <P>SOLUTION: The virtual image emerging ornamental structure comprises a unit assembly in which pixel units formed by regularly arranging pixel dots in a two-dimensional manner, in a predetermined positional relation; and a lens assembly in which each lens body of a plurality of lens bodies is arranged at a position associated with the position of the pixel unit. The method of manufacturing the virtual image emerging ornamental structure includes a unit assembly forming step of arranging the pixel dots at a predetermined position, to form an image portion of the pixel unit, thereby forming the unit assembly.
