PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a rendering effect to further promote interest and enjoyment of a user by reproducing a rendered image and sound corresponding to a portion of a scene in which the user is most probably interested in terms of rendering among scenes developed in each page of a comic book.

SOLUTION: A retrieval section 53 inputs a page number of image data of a cartoon being displayed, and retrieves a rendering management number corresponding to the page number from a rendering management storage section 23b, using the page number as a key. A rendering file reading section 55 reads rendering parameters and a rendering file corresponding to the rendering management number from a rendering file storage section 23c, using the rendering management number as a key. When the rendering file is image data, an image rendering processing section 61 performs image rendering processing to the image data to reproduce and output it to a display control section 29 on the basis of the rendering parameters. When the rendering file is sound data, a sound rendering processing section 63 performs sound rendering processing to the sound data to reproduce and output it to a sound control section 25 on the basis of the rendering parameters.
