PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs in a hood molding assembly for a passenger vehicle.

SOLUTION: A hood protector 30 of the hood molding assembly for the passenger vehicle is a flexible belt-like member that is linearly formed, and adapted to be bendable in accordance with a plane shape of the circumferential edge 223e of a hood molding body 20. A plane surface 223m for fixing the protector to which a connecting plane surface 32u of the hood protector 30 is fixed is formed at the circumferential edge 223e of the hood molding body 20. The plane surface 223m for fixing the protector is formed to be inclined to the surface of a hood panel 5r in the curved section of the circumferential edge 223e of the hood molding body 20 so that a distance from the surface of the hood panel 5r is longer in the outer circumference of the plane surface 223m for fixing the protector than in the inner circumference of the plane surface 223m. The plane surface for fixing the protector of the hood molding body 20 is formed to be parallel to the surface of the hood panel 5r in the linear section of the circumferential edge 223e of the hood molding body 20.
