<p>Provided is a technique that enables bases in nucleic acid to be indirectly labeled at a high labeling rate, while preserving base sequence information for the nucleic acid. Provided is a base-supporting labeling method that involves indirectly labeling the bases in a single-stranded nucleic acid while preserving base sequence information for said nucleic acid, and includes a procedure for inserting an oligonucleotide (L), which has been labeled in a specific and highly-precise manner according to the type of base constituting a nucleotide, in the 3'-terminal or 5'-terminal of the nucleotide. According to the base-supporting labeling method, each base in the single-stranded nucleic acid can be identified with high precision according to the inserted oligonucleotide (L). Therefore, by identifying the oligonucleotide (L) label under an electron microscope, for example, highly-precise base sequence information about the single-stranded nucleic acid can be acquired.</p> |
